The 2019-20 school year is quickly drawing to a close, and I find myself shocked that we have reached the end of May already. Since the beginning of our dismissal, I have missed our students, teachers, staff, and school community, but it has been wonderful to hear about our students’ many achievements even while on distance learning.

Canyon Oaks High School and Mountain Park Independent Study School Celebrate Class of 2020 with Drive-thru Ceremonies

Highlighting the achievements and successes of each student, Canyon Oaks High School and Mountain Park Independent Study School will celebrate the graduating Class of 2020 with a drive-thru commencement ceremony at Monrovia High School on June 2.

The ceremony will follow all social distancing requirements and public health guidelines established for Los Angeles County.

In the last few months, I have been reading about the Spanish Flu that ravaged the world from 1918-1920. I found very little online about how education was impacted and decided to look inward.

Due to the safer at home orders in place for Los Angeles County, Monrovia Unified will provide online academic courses for 2019-20 summer school. Monrovia Unified offers a variety of intervention programs during summer to help our students meet grade level proficiency and reach greater academic goals.
