Every wall in the Monrovia Community Center room was covered in student art pieces for the 9th Annual Black History Month Arts Festival.
In partnership with the Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association (MDBAA), Monrovia Unified kids were able to put together projects that showcased and celebrated Black and African American icons throughout history. Awards were given to the top artists of the festival, but every single student who entered did a fantastic job.
Monrovia Unified was finally able to host the Elementary Winter Concert for band, strings, and choir at the Taylor Performing Arts Center at Monrovia High School.
COVID pushed back the original performance dates, but our students were able to deliver a spectacular show in a packed auditorium. We're so proud of all our kids, teachers, and parents that helped put on a great Elementary Winter Concert!
Monrovia Days is our annual community birthday party where all Monrovians gather together to celebrate our talented youth and the Scholars and Champions from the Monrovia Unified School District.
This year we celebrated Monrovia's 136th birthday and it was great to be back out with everyone at Library Park. This video highlights some of the activities that took place during the three day event.
Each one of school sites did a fantastic job participating in this year's Monrovia Days Parade!
With the event shelved due to COVID, it was amazing to get back out to Library Park and celebrate Monrovia with everyone. Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who marched in the Parade to kick off day two of the event.
All of our school sites participated in the 2021 Monrovia Holiday Parade. Thank you to all the students, parents and community members that helped put together all the decorations, outfits for the parade!
It was a great event for all of Monrovia to come out and celebrate this holiday season.
