An Update from Monrovia Unified Regarding Secondary Hybrid Model and Commitment Forms

Secondary Hybrid Instructional Model

The webinar presentation is available on our website in English and Spanish.

The recommended schedule will now go to the Board of Education for discussion and a vote during our regularly scheduled Board Meeting, next Wednesday, March 24, at 7 p.m. You may tune in to this virtual meeting on YouTube and submit public comments via email before the meeting.

If the model is approved by the Board of Education next week, our secondary school sites will send out commitment forms for families. Principals will provide additional information to their respective school communities to discuss reopening details unique to their site.

It is important to note that, for those who intend to remain in Distance Learning, the commitment applies for the remainder of the school year. If Hybrid Learning does not meet the needs of your child(ren), you may opt to return to Distance Learning.

Thank you to our students, teachers, staff, parents, and school community for your continued patience and support as we move toward reopening our schools and ensuring the continued health, safety, and academic success of our scholars.

Reminder: Elementary Commitment Forms

Elementary commitment forms have been sent out via ParentSquare. If you have not yet submitted your form, please take the time to complete it as soon as possible. Our elementary school teams will use the information provided to determine cohort groups for those students returning to in-person instruction, and those remaining in distance learning.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your specific school site staff.
