We are just a week away from the start of a new school year. We are excited about all of the innovative new ideas our teachers are preparing to launch in their classrooms and can’t wait to show you just how rich and engaging our online program will be.

Dear Monrovia Unified Community,

As we near the start of the 2020-21 school year on Wednesday, Aug. 19, our Board of Education has begun meeting weekly to ensure students, teachers, and staff have everything they need for a successful transition back into distance learning.

During a Special Board Meeting on July 30, the Board of Education voted to approve elementary and secondary instructional frameworks for the upcoming school year.

A medida que nos acercamos al principio del año escolar 2020-21 el miércoles 19 de agosto, nuestro Consejo de Educación ha empezado a reunirse semanalmente para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes, maestros y personal tengan todo lo que necesitan para tener una transición exitosa con el regreso al aprendizaje a distancia.

Durante una reunión especial con el Consejo de Educación el 30 de julio, el Consejo de Educación votó y aprobó las infraestructuras de enseñanza de las primarias y secundarias para el año escolar entrante.

Although the school year ended on June 3, Monrovia Unified Schools will continue to distribute meals at all locations from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.
