Congratulations to Dr. Heather Povinelli - Monrovia Unified School District and LA County Teacher of the Year!
MUSD is thrilled to share with you that NBC4 interviewed Dr. Heather Povinelli this morning. Dr. Povinelli teaches second grade at Bradoaks Elementary Science Academy in Monrovia Unified. Bradoaks Principal Calvin McKendrick, shared, “What sets Dr. Povinelli apart is not just her expertise, but her heart. She doesn’t just teach content, she builds character. She doesn’t just work in education, she elevates it." The announcement of Teacher of the Year by the LA County Board of Education was made last week.
