The Monrovia Unified School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education has approved a 2% salary increase for all certificated staff, following a collaborative and productive negotiations process with the Monrovia Teachers Association (MTA).

In addition to the across-the-board salary increase, the Board also approved the inclusion of longevity increments into the certificated salary schedule. This enhancement reflects the District’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding long-term service. The updated structure standardizes and increases the percentage increments between longevity steps, supporting certificated staff who dedicate their careers to serving Monrovia students.

“We are incredibly grateful for the spirit of partnership and the dedication shown by the MTA, district staff, and Board of Education throughout this process,” said Superintendent Dr. Hart Rodas. “These agreements reflect our shared commitment to honoring the hard work of our educators and ensuring Monrovia remains a great place to teach and learn.”

Monrovia Unified values the strong partnership with the MTA and extends sincere appreciation to all involved for their hard work and dedication throughout the negotiation process. The Board of Education remains steadfast in its support of Monrovia educators and looks forward to continued collaboration with the MTA.
