It's now easier to get hired on as a substitute teacher at Monrovia Unified thanks to an executive order from the Governor's Office. MUSD is hiring subs for all grade levels throughout the district. The pay rates for substitutes are as follows:
- $190: Substitute teaching daily rate
- $205: 60+ cumulative days daily rate
- $220: Long-term daily rate
The Board of Education approved a pay raise for substitute teachers during the 10/13 board meeting with a 5-0 vote. The increase is now in effect and will continue until the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
