Middle School Consolidation Recommendation Presentation - January 21, 2026

The initial consolidation recommendation was presented during the public board meeting held on November 19, 2025. The vote was scheduled for the December 17, 2025 board meeting. The board voted to postpone the decision until the January 21, 2026 meeting.

Prior to the vote on the recommendation during the meeting last night, a motion was approved to delay the vote and to further study the school consolidation. The motion passed, 3 - 1.

This consolidation supports the District’s Fiscal Stabilization Plan, which was developed to address the expenditure reductions required by the Los Angeles County Office of Education in June 2024.
