NEWS RELEASE
ELPAC and CAASPP Student Scores Are Now Available for Monrovia Unified School District - Reports Reveal Improvement in Student Scores
Monrovia CA (October 2025) – Monrovia Unified School District is excited to share that student results for the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) and California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) are now available. These assessments provide important information about how your child is progressing in English language development and in key academic areas like English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.
Noteworthy Numbers
The big picture on these numbers tells us that Monrovia Schools are seeing improvements in student scores in English Language Art, Science, and Math. As we expected, the improvements are edging up slowly and steadily. They are moving in the right direction! We are also dedicated to increasing our English Language Proficiency student scores across the district. In September, we celebrated more than 90 students for gaining English proficiency. more
What These Results Mean
- ELPAC measures how well students who are learning English are developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. These results help us determine the level of language support your child may need to be successful in school.
- CAASPP measures how well students in grades 3–8 and 11 are meeting California’s academic standards. The results help teachers and families understand student progress and identify areas of strength and growth.
How to Access Your Child’s Scores
Families can view their child’s score reports through Aeries Parent Portal. If you have trouble accessing your child’s results or have questions about what the scores mean, please contact your child’s school office.
How We Use This Information
Monrovia Unified will use these results to tailor instruction and provide targeted support so that all students can grow academically and linguistically. We also use the data to identify program strengths and areas where we can improve as a district.
