A Message from Monrovia Unified Regarding the Class of 2020

While the challenges of this year have been felt by us all, the graduating class of 2020 has also had to reconcile itself with a graduation that cannot look like any Monrovia High School has held in the past. Knowing this, the team at Monrovia High School, with input from students and parents, has planned some very special senior celebrations.

This week, on Wednesday, May 6, Monrovia High School lit up the evening skyline to celebrate its seniors. Every Wednesday, until graduation, Monrovia High School will illuminate the stadium and the Monrovia ‘M’ on the mountain at 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time) for 20 minutes as a way to celebrate the Class of 2020. Watch this video for a message from Monrovia High School Principal, Kirk McGinnis.

Our seniors have worked hard to get to where they are today and we are committed to creating a memorable experience for this cherished rite of passage.

Sincerely,
Dr. Katherine Thorossian
Superintendent
