A Message from the Superintendent Regarding Student Well-Being
Dear Monrovia Unified Community,
Through the use of social media platforms, information has the potential of being misinterpreted or inaccurately stated. This is why we would like to remind you that in accordance with District policy, Monrovia Unified will only make disclosures about children in public communication after discussions and explicit approval by legal guardians. Therefore, decisions about your children will remain confidential and will never be based on communication with other students or third parties.
Monrovia Unified takes the feelings and opinions of our students and families very seriously. However, we will never compromise the privacy of your family by making decisions about your children with anyone but legal guardians – no matter how well-intentioned others may be.
If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding information that is shared on social media platforms, please contact your school or the Superintendent’s Office at (626) 471-2000.
