Humanities Academy

The Monrovia High School Humanities Academy is an academic program that provides a rigorous four-year curriculum for students interested in the Humanities and Liberal Arts. The Humanities Academy requires students to complete Advanced Placement courses, community service, and research projects with the support of the seven Humanities Academy teachers and Monrovia High School counselors.

Math and Science Academy (MASA)

The Monrovia High School Math and Science Academy (MASA) is a comprehensive, four-year high school curriculum for students interested in pursuing math and science careers. The program includes over 300 students, five teachers, and MHS counselors who support MASA students in pursuing academic excellence, Advanced Placement success, community service, and research projects.  Students in MASA also benefit from guest lecturers who provide math and science expertise and connect students with real-world experiences in math and science careers.  In 2016, the Monrovia High School MASA program was awarded the California School Board Association’s Golden Bell Award.
