Mountain Park School is a K - 12 independent studied program designed to accommodate the unique needs of students who work better in an open environment.
Elementary school independent studies offers parents to home-school their children with the support, guidance and expertise of a credentialed teacher. Typically the parent and their student meet with the teacher weekly to ensure alignment with the California State Standards for Education.
Middle school grades 6 - 8 independent studies is a student-based program that utilizes small groups. Self-motivated students are able to work at their own pace and receive individualized instruction, where multiple learning opportunities are available.
Flexible scheduling gives high school students a distinct advantage for employment, which can add to credit advancement through the Regional Occupation Program.
Parent Involvement is highly encouraged in the independent studies program.
Building self-esteem and a life long love for learning are our top priorities.
