    Monrovia High School invites you to attend the College Saving & Funding Strategies Workshop scheduled for THIS Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 6:30 pm in Room 210. Come to learn how to save the right way for college and maximize your aid eligibility. No RSVP needed. See you there!

    ELAC and family literacy night will be tomorrow in room 108 beginning at 5:30 PM

    This coming weekend, from Broadway to MHS our drama department is putting on the play Godspell.  The show is this Friday and Saturday as well as next Friday and Saturday, come out to see our thespians at work.  The show begins at 7:00 PM.  Pre-sale tickets are 10 dollars and 15 dollars at the door.

    Hey Wildcats, congratulations once again to our very own Brianna Dominguez, who competed in the CIF State Wrestling Finals this past weekend! She qualified by winning the Southern Section Eastern Division Championship, and by taking 3rd at the CIF Masters Tourney. She's a history-maker! Congrats, Brianna!

    Soccer fans, your Boys' soccer team is marching on into the CIF Semi-finals! After their 3-0 quarterfinal victory vs. Rowland on Friday, they will play tomorrow at La Canada HS, at 5:00 pm. Come on up the hill and cheer them on! The more fans, the better!

    On the weekend of February 28th and March 1st, the MHS Event Center erupted with the sights and sounds of the Southern California Percussion Alliance. Fifty-Nine of So. Cal's top drum lines and percussion ensembles took the floor in competition as they prepared for SCPA and WGI National Championships.


    This Saturday, March 7th, artistry in motion returns to the MHS Event Center as Monrovia HS hosts the Winter Guard Assoc. of So. Cal. Los Angeles/Ventura Invitational. Over fifty scholastic and independent color guards will be taking the floor in competition. Competition runs from 11am through 9pm. 


    Our students for the month of February were Vanessa Farley, Sarah Mendez, Jonathan Wynman-Comas, Jose Cortez, Tylar Simpson, Alexandra Feldman, Amanda Plasencia, Felipe Alvarez

     Sophomores there are 14 days left until you take the CAHSEE examination.  Make sure to study and come to the library if you need some extra assistance on Saturday from 8:00-12:00.

    The phone policy for MHS remains in force, phones are not allowed out in class and if they are seen by teachers they will be taken and may be picked up by a parent at the end of the day.  If the student refuses to give the phone to the teacher, administration will be called and the phone will be confiscated and not to be returned to school for one week.  If the phone is confiscated 3 times during the year, it will also be held for a week.  Additionally, to be of service to you, we can hold the phone here in a locked file for the week.  Thank you for helping us to help the academic success of your child.  If you have any questions regarding this please call Mr. Iler

  • The following information is for the week of February 23rd.
    Counselors are meeting with all 11th grade students through social science courses to select courses for 2015-2016 and summer courses.  Please ensure you review these courses with them before they meet with their counselor.

    Mark your calendars now!  MHS Open House is Wednesday March 18th beginning at 6:30.  Come see our 4th annual Art-a-Palooza as well as have a chance to visit classrooms and connect with your child’s teachers.  We look forward to seeing you all that night.

    All 10th graders encouraged to attend the Saturday CAHSEE Academy sessions to prepare them to take CAHSEE exam, a graduation requirement.  The next sesion is on Saturday, February 28th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Library.  

    Congratulations to the Boys Soccer team as they will travel to Temecula to compete in the second round of CIF playoffs on Wednesday, February 25th.  Good luck Wildcats!!!

    Our next ELAC meeting and Latino Family Literacy Night will be on Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:30 p.m. in room 108.
