  • Hello Wildcats, this is Ms. Cruz- Assistant Principal of Monrovia High School; Home to scholars and champions and where great things are happening.  The following information is for the week of April 27th:


    A reminder that Zero period classes will be canceled on Monday May 4th.  11th grade students taking state testing will begin classes at 8:00 and all other students, grades 9,10, and 12 will begin at 9:00.  If students would like breakfast, 11th grade students will be served from 7:30-8:00 and grades 9, 10, and 12 will be served from 8:00-9:00. 


    Second session of Latino Family Literacy Night is on Tuesday, April 28th at 6:00 p.m. in room 108.  Come learn about college entrance requirements.  Hope you see you there.


    Monrovia High School proudly presents our annual Career Day & Resource Fair. Please save the date for Tuesday, May 19th! All students are invited to meet with guest speakers from various professions during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd period. Learn from doctors, lawyers, bankers, auto techs, and many more! Then during lunch we will have a resource fair to connect students with community resources and job opportunities. Don't miss out!


    Seniors! Enter the College Acceptance Letter Raffle for a chance to win grad night tickets! Turn in a copy of your college acceptance letters to Ms. Ly in Room 109. The more you turn in the better your chances of winning. Good luck! 


    Over the weekend the Kings and Queens traveled to St. Louis where they competed against the top teams in the world at the FTC World Championships. There they compiled a 4 and 5 record and ended the tournament ranked in the top 100 in the world. Please join me in congratulating them on their fantastic season. Great job team!


    Congratulations to the MHS Color Guard! This past Saturday, the Color Guard won the gold at the WGASC division AAA Championships, held at Edison High School. Their nearly flawless performance culminates a year long dedication to performance excellence.


    If you'd like to become part of this championship team, workshops for the 2015-2016 Color Guard will be held Mondays after school starting next week, May 4th in the South Gym. For more information head to
