Santa Fe Middle to Highlight Programs, New Name During Open House

WHAT: Santa Fe Middle School will host an open house to exhibit student accomplishments in Santa Fe’s established programs with robotics demonstrations; band, dance and choir performances; poetry readings; and bottle rocket launchings.
 
To kick off the evening, the school will also announce its official name change to Santa Fe Computer Science Magnet School. Parents and the community will be introduced to Code to the Future, an immersive computer science program, which will be implemented throughout the campus starting in 2017-18.

MORE: Code to the Future is an educational organization that aims to close the science gap through a computer science curriculum that transforms students from technology consumers to technology creators. The organization was recognized by the White House in January 2016 for leading efforts to develop computer science magnet schools.
