CLARE CHESLEY
Clare grew up in a small, rural community in Minnesota as the youngest of seven children.
She attended college and law school
in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is married to Steve Chesley, a scientist at JPL, and they have two young children who attend
Bradoaks Elementary school.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Clare is an attorney with a solo practice in Monrovia. Clare is licensed to practice
law in both California and Minnesota.
Clare received a degree in Financial Management from the University of St. Thomas,
in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1986.
Clare attended law school in the evenings while working full-time during the
day and received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul,
Minnesota in 1993.
After law school, Clare and her family lived in Austin, Texas where she was Vice President and
Director of Operations for The 401(k) Company for five years.
Before moving to Monrovia, Clare and her family lived in Pisa, Italy for 1 ½ years while her husband worked on
asteroid research with international scientists.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Clare is an active volunteer, including assisting in her children's classrooms.
Clare is a member of the Monrovia Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.
