Power up with fruits and vegetables!
{Latino Family} The mission of the Network for a Healthy California (Network) in Monrovia Unified School District is to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables and promote increased physical activity in children and adults throughout the schools and community. The Network in MUSD uses researched-based strategies throughout our “Cooking in the Classroom” program, parent workshops, and community events to facilitate behavior change in order to create environments that support fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity. Our award winning program is based on the National Health Standards and teaches students necessary skills in order to make informed decisions about their health. Monrovia Unified School District is dedicated to creating Healthy Hearts, Minds and Bodies! |
