{students} Monrovia Unified School District, (MUSD) Student Support Services, is funded through federal and state categorical funds, grants and through private donations. The goal is to help children be successful in school by primarily addressing barriers to learning. MUSD offers a variety of support services which include: family functioning and family basic needs; medical and health related services; mental health services; nutrition education; after school programs; character education; parenting and parent support; and dropout prevention programs.
The Monrovia Student Support Staff is dedicated to providing unique programs, resources and services that are not typically provided in the public school system. We are proud of the fact that since the inception of the Healthy Start Program in 1996, MUSD Student Support Services has received approximately eight and half million dollars in funds through our grant writing efforts. We have also been the recipient of two Golden Bell Awards issued by the California School Boards Association.
